The crew members present that day are listed below. Some of these men have been located in time to attend the first reunion of the U.S.S. McMorris DE-1036, October 1997 in Charleston, SC. A dinner cruise was enjoyed by all reunion participants on the Spirit of Charleston as it went up the Cooper River. The reunion was officially started as the "Mighty Plank Owner Players" read the Commissioning Poem to all present. This group included: Alfred "Doc" Corradetti, Jules Galbreth, James H. Maxwell, Jr., James C. Pike, Albert P. Roach, and Jewel D. Sharpe. The plank owner roster of 2000-2001 is growing. The search is on to locate as many of these shipmates as possible. The complete commissioning roster follows. An asterisk next to the name indicates that the person has been located. This page is designed to be a living history of their service aboard the U.S.S.
