On 16 December 1974, The USS Claud Jones (DE 1033) and the USS McMorris (DE1036) were decommissioned and transferred to the Indonesian Navy. At the same ceremony they were commissioned into active duty with the Indonesian Navy as the KRI Mongisidi (DE 343) and KRI Ngurah Rai (DE 344) respectively. There they rejoined their sister ships, Samadikun (DE 341, formerly USS John R. Perry (DE-1034)) and Martadinata (DE 341, formerly USS Charles Berry (DE-1035)).
